Wayman Tisdale: Great Guy! Rest in Peace!
I was disappointed by the completely surprising news that Wayman Tisdale passed away today. Last I had heard he had lost his leg, but that his prognosis was good. A complete bummer.
I lived in Sacramento those years that Wayman played for the Kings . . . those were the really “ugly” years. The Kings were awful and their record was in the cellar and no matter how great of a player Wayman was, nobody could fix that team. (Except new owners and Geoff Petrie as it turned out).
But I do remember that Wayman was well liked in Sacramento and he was definitely one of the “good guys”—NOT one of those big-headed athletes that have no time for the fans. He was friendly and down-to-earth and took time to connect with his fans and was an asset to the Sacramento Community.
Wayman set an example for all of us to recognize our talents, work hard to develop them, share them with the world and live with Passion doing that which we’re passionate about.
On a Lighter Note . . . Oprah Thinks—and I Totally Agree—That Puppies Should Be Imprisoned!
I read this morning that Oprah was airing an episode today on a Program called Puppies Behind Bars.
What does all of this have to do with MyInternetBusiness?
Nothing really, except I am always a fan of people that go for it and live their passions. Clearly, both Wayman and Oprah are two people that exemplify that. Oprah is going to do a segment on the Puppies Behind Bars organization and suddenly that organization is going to get National Attention in a big way. This will probably make a huge difference for them. That’s making a real difference in people’s lives for sure.
One reason that many people feel that they can’t Live their Passions and Make a difference in this world, is that they can’t seem to figure out a way to make it pay. How can you devote your life to art if you’re always working at your day-job instead of painting? Sure, you’d love to be more involved with your community or church . . . but you’re always working!

This was always my challenge. I love to travel . . . but couldn’t because I was chained to my business. I had developed a clientele that wanted to see my (ugly) mug on a regular basis ;).
